The story

Leif Xicale, a lone and elusive mercenary, is forced to form a team when a friend brings her an impossible task to complete. Essentially forced to be a bodyguard, Leif is given a chance to change her life for the better.

Hey guys i'm Luco! (They/Them) I'm a lesbian who LOVES YURI!!!!! This story is just a combination of all the things I love basically. Lesbians, enemies, enemies to lesbians, yeah....I originally made these characters in middle school but I officially started reworking everything about 2 years back. My goal is to write a whole comic with these characters and create a complete story!This is something I've never done before so it's been a little challenging but I'm hoping by next year my story will be available to read.Thank you for liking my work and checking out this site!

Leif Xicale (She/they/he)

Species: Half ongi, Half human

Escaping execution as a teenager, Leif managed to survive and start a life of mercenary work. The mercenary world, however, is not so kind. After suffering years of scars, Leif would rather smokingly drink away her days than do a job-- or anything, for that matter.

Saran Tsetsegmyo (she/her)

Species: Slight floral ancestry, Human

Daughter of a nomadic trading tribe that specializes in medicine, Saran has suffered from illness her whole life. However, as she gets older, the more she wants to prove her chances against the odds! At 21 she decided she will start her life of travel (without her family...for once).

Keino Sayrein (she/they)

Species: Beetle + Raven

Heir to the powerful Sayrein Clan.
Following her mother's orders, Keino is tasked with hunting down those who get their way. Her current objective is tracking down the elusive "Arai Hunter".

Eeko manoba (she/her)

From a seaside town, Eeko works for the local mercenary guild as a Job Scout. She helps her clients find work while also providing aid. One day on her way back from a work trip, she found a young mercenary suffering from grave wounds. Four years later Leif and her and now great friends! (..in Eeko's mind at least)

Adrian Xicale (he/him)

Leif's cousin. A nice young man who helps his mother run her bookstore while practicing his mechanical skills.

Nefaylim (he?/him)

A medic from a small village who cares for wayward travelers and an array of people with unique needs.

= world =

Taking place in a fantasy Pacific Northwest, this world is inspired by the ecosystem of the sequoia forests. Trees are even more massive and so are the creatures that dwell there.This world is based on the idea that mushrooms were the first "humans" or sentient species, then later evolved with humans. So in this world, there are people who are full "Ongi" or mushrooms/fungi. People can also be derived from bugs and wildlife, I just did this to have fun with character design!

Locations

Ramaria

A famous scholarly city that resides on seaside cliffs. Known for this formal strict culture and education.The city, however, is still recovering from an act of arson that destroyed one of the most ancient libraries in the land.

Leif's house

A home built into the stump of a tree. Leif has made this house a home! Located next to a small village, the residents appreciate Leif's services to them.
